After reading the article, “The Simple Phrase That IncreasesEffort 40%” I was really intrigued in his findings. Students/people need to
feel like they belong or they are doing something right, that they have a
purpose. Giving students feedback can result in a negative or positive way. To
have an effect on students, teachers need to show the students that they
believe in them and expect them to do well. I definitely agree with this because
I think people need the reassurance. Being human, there are always thoughts
flowing in and out of your mind about if what you are doing is worth it at all.
In personal experience, it just makes the student feel better and it will give
them that boost in self-confidence.
